Our client is an industrial technology manufacturer and distributor in Chicago, close to downtown.
Responsibilities:
Management
- Plan, implement and supervise the company’s financial strategy
- Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
- Oversee Accounting Operation and Supervise Accounting Staff in areas of, On-going tasks, Monthly Closing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Accounting
- Daily Monitor of Bank Accounts
- Organize and execute AP transactions to vendors
- Cash Flow analysis and projections
- Fraud Activity Management
- Oversee and manage use of company credit cards
Taxes
- Manage Annual Tax calendar
- Manage quarterly and annual income tax filing with CPA / Illinois, Federal and California
- Manage sales and franchise tax filing with CPA / Illinois and California
- Monitor, track and follow up on any IRS notifications
- Manage InCorp account for registered agents
Systems
- Control company accounting software access, privileges and setting as Admin role with QuickBooks
- Interface with Intuit and coordinate version upgrades, subscriptions, maintenance needs, and backups
- Manage QuickBooks Chart of Accounts, Customer list, Vendor List, Item list and Inventory
2024 Transition Responsibilities
Payroll processing
- Manage entire payroll administrative process for all employees
- Process timesheets & PTO records
- Process all payroll liability and quarterly tax forms
- Maintain all employee compensation records
- Manage benefits programs 401k, Insurance, and IDES filings
Planning
- Create reports for budgeting and annual planning
- Train employees and develop internal order management systems compliance
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting
– Two or more years of work experience as Accounting Manager
– 3 to 5 Years experience managing accounting core reports, Profit/Loss, Balance, Ledger, AR/AP – 3 to 5 years recent experience using QuickBooks Desktop at Admin level
– Experience in working with accounting software and databases
